A note from Mo:

On this page, I have included information about Assembly District 28, as well as information about elections and election law. I have also included links to some of the political parties in our area. If there are other links you would like to see here, please let me know. I will do my best to share them with others.

Thanks for your interest.

Assembly District 28 was created by the Nevada Legislature. It encompasses parts of Las Vegas and North Las Vegas. While the borders jog in and out, it lies roughly within the area bounded by Cheyenne Road on the north, Eastern Avenue on the west, Bonanza Road on the south, and most of the eastern border is set by Pecos Road, Clifford Road or Sandy Street. If you would like to see a complete map of District 28, please go here:

The District 28 Map (This is the basic shape of the district with the boundary streets indicated.)

Two agencies are responsible for elections and election law. The Clark County Election Department http://www.accessclarkcounty.com/depts/election registers voters, conducts elections and tabulates the results.

The Secretary of State, Election Division http://sos.state.nv.us/elections/ is responsible for election law, collecting and filing reports, and archiving the results of past elections across Nevada.

If you are curious about where campaign money is raised and how it is spent, you can look at the reports at http://sos.state.nv.us/contributions.asp

The State Ethics Commission http://ethics.state.nv.us/ is responsible for investigating ethics complaints filed against elected officials.

You can find information about all Nevada agencies and much more at the State of Nevada http://silver.state.nv.us/

If you are interested in how the legislature works or the legislation that has been passed, go to http://leg.state.nv.us/
